Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Elyse and I am a "recent" college graduate (I will continue to say recent until it's at least 10 years away)! I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Education in Higher Ed.
More importantly though, I am Italian and Irish and I LOVE to travel and cook! Being from a large and crazy family, I have always had a natural love of food and pastry but never believed I could facilitate a career out of that love. However, I decided that it would be better to take a risk and explore a career in the culinary world.
Now, I bake cakes (and hope to someday make a cake for Aerosmith, my bff Adam Sandler, Conan, Tom Hanks, and many more..), but I also love to share my own recipes and dining experiences with the world!
With that in mind, this blog will explore the world of travel, food, and drink, and will also have a sweet twist! After all, you cannot have a cultural dish without dessert, right!? I hope you enjoy!
More about this blog...
The Cultural Dish's aim is to illustrate that you do not have to travel the globe in order to experience the deliciousness that the world has to offer. An array of recipes and pictures from my own traveling and culinary experiences will be utilized on this site. Additionally, for those living in New England, this blog will also help to enlighten you on where to find a tasty Cultural Dish in your own backyard!
